The Principal Additional Director General or the Additional Director General of the National Customs Targeting Centre-Passenger (NCTC- Pax) is appointed as an officer of customs, specifically holding the rank and all powers of a Principal Commissioner or Commissioner of Customs. This appointment grants the officer jurisdiction over the whole of India. The primary function assigned to this officer is the receiving and processing of Passenger Name Record (PNR) information under the Passenger Name Record Information Regulations.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
