Currently, such standing instructions are available only for units held in Statement of Account mode, while demat investors must issue transaction-specific instructions. SEBI has proposed a phased implementation. Phase I would enable unit-based SWP\/STP registrations through Depositories and Stock Exchanges with minimal system changes, while Phase II would allow amount- based and advanced variants through RTAs.
