The Rs 2000 banknotes continue to be legal tender.\u00a0The total value of\u00a0Rs\u00a02000 banknotes in circulation, which amounted to\u00a0Rs\u00a03.56 lakh crore, has declined to\u00a0Rs 5451\u00a0crore as at the close of business on\u00a030<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0April\u00a02026.
