The notification amends the import policy for umbrellas and sun umbrellas. Imports of finished umbrellas classified under HS Codes 66019100 (telescopic shaft) and 66019900 (other umbrellas) have been changed from “Free” to “Restricted” category. However, a relaxation has been provided, i.e. imports will continue to be treated as ‘Free’ if the CIF value is Rs 100 or more per piece.
