Misc, SC Judgement Dated 19/09/2025 – Demand notice under section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act invalid as amount in notice different from cheque amount 

Case of Kaveri Plastics vs Mahdoom Bawa Behruddin Noorul, SC Judgement Dated 19^th September 2025. The apex court held that demand notice stands invalid in the eye of law when amount mentioned and demanded in notice send under Proviso (b) to section 138 of the Negotiable Instrument Act is different from actual cheque amount.
