The Notification amends Regulation 3 of the Transhipment of Cargo to Nepal under Electronic Cargo Tracking System (ECTS) Regulations, concerning the application scope of the ECTS system for cargo moving from India to Nepal. The permissible routes now include rail transhipment to Birgunj and Biratnagar in Nepal. It is mandated for two specific multi-modal routes, One- rail transport to Batnaha (India) followed by road transport to Biratnagar (Nepal) and Two- rail transport to the Indian Customs Yard, Jogbani (India), followed by road transport to Biratnagar (Nepal).
