The amendments expand the list of airports permitted for personal carriage of gems and jewellery parcels for both export and import. Under the revised Para 4.87(a), foreign-bound passengers from EOU/SEZ units and DTA firms may now carry export parcels through Ahmedabad Airport in addition to the previously listed airports. Similarly, the amendment to Para 4.88 allows personal carriage of import parcels by Indian importers or foreign nationals into EOU/SEZ units and DTA firms through Ahmedabad Airport.
