The notification extends validity of five exemption notifications for a further period of two years till 31st March 2028. It also amends notification 25/2002 to expand the scope of an existing exemption by including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) alongside electrically operated vehicles . Certain serial numbers under notification 36/2024 have been omitted, and a clear expiry date of 30th April 2026 has been inserted.
