Central Govt has notified Rs 18,000 per month as the applicable wage limit for determining coverage under the definition of ‘worker’. Consequently, individuals employed in a supervisory role whose monthly wages exceed Rs 18,000 are expressly excluded from the statutory definition of ‘worker’ for the purposes of the Code on Wages.
