The notification reduces Special Additional Excise Duty on petrol and diesel for domestic consumption. It amends earlier notification 05/2019 dated 6th July 2019, and substitutes the rate of duty to Rs. 3 per litre (earlier Rs 13) on petrol and Nil (earlier Rs 10) for diesel. It clarifies that the revised rates will not apply to goods cleared for export.
