Earlier, only members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) were permitted to conduct such audits under the SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations. SEBI has now extended this eligibility to members of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI).
