The DGFT has amended the export policy, reclassified wood pellets from ‘Prohibited’ to ‘Restricted’ and wood briquettes from ‘Free’ to ‘Restricted’. The exports of both items are now allowed only under a Restricted Export Authorization, subject to prescribed conditions.
