The several provisions of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Act 2026 will come into force from 26th May 2026. The notification operationalises a large portion of the amended insolvency framework, including sections 2 to 6, sections 8 to 33, sections 35 to 39, sections 48 to 59, sections 61 to 66, and other specified provisions. Certain clauses of sections 34, 69, and 70 have also been brought into effect, while sub-clause (xx) of section 70(b) remains excluded.
