The notification expand the scope of the Reserve Bank – Integrated Ombudsman Scheme 2021. It has directed that State Cooperative Banks and Central Cooperative Banks shall be treated as “Regulated Entities” under the Scheme. This extension ensures that these banks are now subject to the Scheme provisions for customer grievance redressal, except where specifically excluded.
